Common questions

What happens if a parent's GPS is unavailable?

SafePickup always provides a manual 'I've Arrived' button as a fallback. Parents can tap it to check in without GPS.

Can multiple guardians be authorized for one student?

Yes. School admins can add multiple authorized guardians per student, each with their own account and verification code.

How is student data protected?

We are FERPA and COPPA compliant. Student data is encrypted at rest and in transit, never sold, and only accessible to authorized school staff and linked guardians.

What if a parent doesn't have a smartphone?

Teachers can manually add a student to the queue on behalf of a walk-up guardian, generating a verification code without requiring the parent app.

How do I reset a parent's access?

School admins can revoke and re-invite any user from the Invitations tab in the school management panel.

Is there a limit on the number of students?

Plans vary. The Starter plan supports up to 500 students. The Professional and Enterprise plans have no student limits.
